A barcode reader and a bill acceptor that do not exist: both emulated on Linux as a USB keyboard, so point-of-sale software can be tested against real input. Nothing to buy, and nothing left cluttering a desk.

Final-year thesis, written with three classmates: a genetic algorithm that picks the winner of an NBA first quarter from how both teams played their past ones. It reached 58.84%, short of the 70% asked for — and says so.
